Ethical Notary Services
I provide ethical notary services in Northern Virginia: it's respectful, affirming, and rooted in ethical practice. My role as a Virginia-commissioned notary public is not just to witness signatures, but to serve the public with fairness, dignity, and professionalism. Every client deserves to feel safe, respected, and supported during a notarization, especially when the documents are deeply personal or life-changing.
Code of Professional Responsibility
As a public official commissioned by the Commonwealth of Virginia, a notary is legally prohibited from refusing a lawful notarization based on personal beliefs. A signer's nationality, religion, age, gender identity, disability, or lifestyle is never a valid reason to deny service. The National Notary Association's Code of Professional Responsibility makes this clear: the notary must not refuse to perform a lawful and proper notarial act "because of any disagreement with the statement or purpose of a document." I take this responsibility seriously and uphold it consistently and without exception.
Secure Signings
Clients feel safe using my service for sensitive purposes such as a name change after gender transition or support letters for immigration or legal protections. These documents often represent major turning points in a person's life. For many clients, the process itself might make them feel vulnerable. I approach these appointments with care, patience, and confidentiality, ensuring clients do not feel rushed, judged, or questioned beyond what the law requires.
Convenience and Safety
I meet clients wherever they feel most comfortable, whether that's a coffee shop, library, or their home. Accessibility isn't just about location; it's about how people are treated. I proviede a kind and judgment-free service.
Ethical Pricing
I believe an ethical notary service includes transparent and reasonable pricing. I do not charge a convenience fee, after-hours fee, or emergency surcharge. My pricing consists of a clearly-quoted travel fee and state-regulated notarization fee. Virginia law requires notaries to disclose fees upfront and obtain agreement before the appointment. I welcome that requirement. Clients should never feel surprised, pressured, or uncertain about costs, especially during sensitive or urgent situations.
Secure and Reliable Notary Service in Northern Virginia
Ethical notary work means serving the public without bias, without judgment, and without hidden barriers. It has been rewarding to provide secure and reliable notary services for Northern Virginian residents these past few years.
