I bring my reliable and punctual notary service to the doorstep of your senior living community in Northern Virginia for your ease and convenience.
When you need to get your important legal documents notarized at your own residence, I am the reliable notary who brings that service to you. I travel to your senior living community, providing a friendly, professional, and caring touch. As a senior citizen myself, I understand the challenges you may face, such as mobility issues or lack of transportation. Navigating legal paperwork might seem like a daunting task, but I can lighten the load by ensuring convenience and ease at your notary appointment. I treat every client with respect and compassion and listen to their needs. Since I am well-versed in Virginia notary laws, I will ensure that your documents are fully executed and notarized properly.

Local Notary with Personable Services
Local and Personal: My service is stricly local to Northern Virginia. Unlike other notary services that are nationwide, I am the sole notary in my practice, so after speaking directly with me on the phone, I'll be the one who shows up to your appointment. You won't have to wonder whether the notary has received the correct information! And whereas the nationwide company tends to charge inflated fees, you can bet that I'll have the most reasonable fees.
Full-time Availability: I am available Monday to Friday, 8am-8pm, Saturday/Sunday, 8am-5pm, and I will respond to your emergency notary needs, whether you have a last-minute document or an estate planning package. I offer administrative services as well; I can print your documents, scan, email, and/or mail your completed paperwork to your title company, attorney, or physician's office via FedEx or UPS. I can also hand deliver it to their local office, if needed.
Some Commonly Requested Documents at Senior Living Facilities
I can assist with the notarization of your legal documents, real estate transactions, or estate planning documents, such as a will, trust, or financial/medical power of attorney.
Why Everyone should have a Power of Attorney Prepared
Everyone should have their executed medical and financial powers of attorney in place. These documents ensure that, if you are ever incapacitatated, your wishes are respected and that someone you trust can act on your behalf. A power of attorney can always be revoked or updated as circumstances change, but having this in place means that you have someone to step in to handle your financial and medical affairs if needed. You never know when something might happen to you that would cause you to be unable to handle your affairs, and this is true regardless of your age.
If you had a power of attorney prepared for you while living in another state and you are now in Virginia, that document may or may not be legal under Virginia law. To be sure the document is valid in Virginia, you should have an attorney review it for you.
Being Prepared for your Notary Appointment
All signers must be alert and coherent and be able to communicate at their notarization appointment. They must show they understand the purpose and contents of the document. If you are scheduling an appointment for a family member, you might want to pick a time of day when they are most alert and when they have enough time so as to not be rushed. They should have a current, government-issued photo ID, such as a driver's license or a passport. Note that the state of Virginia does allow a resident of a senior living community to use an ID that has been expired, only if it has been expired up to five years.
For more information on ensuring a successful signing appointment, please review my two-page document called, Prepare for a Successful Signing.
Affordable and Ethical Pricing
I believe in fair and ethical pricing. I will always relay my rates on the phone when you call to inquire about my notary services. In Virginia, a notary public may charge a notarization fee of $10, and if traveling to your location, may charge a travel fee. As a public servant, I'm dedicated to making my notary services accessible to everyone, so my fees are reasonable.
